Just a quick bump to my thread.
So to add to my Echo chainsaw, hedge trimmer, and blower. I purchased an Echo SRM-225. Again, after a long research on Stihl and Echo, I ended up with another Echo.
So it was a chore to start this thing out of the box. I am not sure if the factory setting for the idle screw was so jacked up that I couldn't start it but I had to remove the spark plug, clean it a bit, and gap it correctly to finally start it. So after it started, it died the immediately after...
Yeah, I was thinking of getting the 16" version. But for my use, I would regret not getting the 20" more. If ever, I can always purchase a smaller bar in the future.
This is only my second chainsaw of which I owned a CS-370 for less than a week which was eventually returned. No regrets of doing so and I'm glad that I was able to purchase this one at a similar price. No doubt, this is the best bang for my buck considering I purchased it for only $314.00...
So definitely, I'm keeping the CS-370 and the PB-250. Now I'm thinking of returning the HC-152 (unopened) for a Stihl HS 56-CE.
Anyone here owns a HS 56?
So I am a bit hesitant of using gas from our local pump, but will Race Gas rated at 100 octane work for garden equipment with the proper oil mix recommended by the manufacturer?
I have four 32 ounce Echo premixed gas/oil right not but would like to plan ahead of what gas to use.
Please...
So I only had time to open and test out the blower. Started in two pulls out of the box. Dried my car in less than 3 minutes. Haven't done any yard work yet but totally worth it already! :)
Bought the Echo for $130 after coupon and all so totally worth it. Still trying to decide if I should get...
No need to be sorry, your post pretty much summarizes things. I was actually looking into the MS-211 before I read your post. Well, I can totally forget about entry level Stihl now based on what was said here, and your post above. I was also thinking why the 211 only has one bolt which not...
Thanks Brian. I think that just sealed the deal. I'm returning the Echo!
Haha j/k. I will go with what I have and enjoy the five year warranty even if I have to wait back in line bringing it to a repair center.
