    Double swing Jeep tire carrier

Thanks everyone for your kind words! This Jeep is wrapped in body armor that is 1/4” thick and that’s what the tabs weld too.

    Double swing Jeep tire carrier

I believe the concept is that it’s easier to get to and saves space on a small vehicle. Thank you for your compliment and taking a look

Why are small vertical metal cutting band saws nonexistent??

That is one of my projects I am waiting to get too. It is way to short doing horizontal work.

Why are small vertical metal cutting band saws nonexistent??

The 4x6 grizzly/harbor freight bandsaw has a pin to lock it vertical and comes with a light weight table that bolts to the guide. I have used mine this way cutting out knife blanks. It’s not amazing but fits a budget and gives you horizontal and vertical. I’ve seen one guy build a seat that...

    Grizzly lathe?

OP, I live in Montana. I can drive 7 hours west across I90 and still be in Montana or 3 hours east. I know exactly what you mean. I have an old Sheldon 10” that has bronze bearings and is in need of a total refurbish. Got sick and tired just like you and went Chinese. I only needed a...

    Does Anybody Stick Weld Anymore?

Vast majority of field construction is done with stick and mig. Stick is and will always be more popular in field construction for many reasons. A 6 pack of welders can be placed close to its power source and a welder only has to spend time running a lead to his work and then a 10lb rod caddy...

Trailer build tilt deck car hauler

I would say I didn't save anything. You could buy a trailer with the same gvw for about half what I spent. However, it would not have breaks on both axles, nicer looking rims, power up/down hydraulics, custom tongue box, etc. it was something I wanted to do and did so knowing I would spend more...

Trailer build tilt deck car hauler

@farrier No good ones yet. I've used it twice now. Once to haul my brothers grand am and once to the landfill loaded with tree branches. So far it has done great other than my hydraulic leak. Here's the one pic I have.

I used 2x6 and one 2x8 ripped to fit. Everything fit tight in February and now has 1-8" to 1/4" gap between the boards.

Trailer build tilt deck car hauler

Finally got home from California and got my trailer finished…more like usable I'd say. Got fenders painted and tongue box made and painted. Titled, registered, and hauled my first load. Still have a few things to do like a winch mount and change my hydraulic lines a bit. I have one fitting that...
