Sorry guys, I've been on the road working last few months. I do have a few more pics though. It'll be June before I get back home to finish. Got it wired and deck on. Need to finish tongue box and paint fenders.

I wish I had one but I'm still on the road working. My company keeps picking up more work. I'll be lucky to be back home buy July!

OP . . . . . guess that's "Good Problem" to have with so much work that you're gone all the time. Hope your company is covering all your meals/expenses while on the road . . . maybe even paying you Federal mileage rate to be MAKING some real money !! ;)

Nice looking trailer. It's coming along well.

Finally got home from California and got my trailer finished…more like usable I'd say. Got fenders painted and tongue box made and painted. Titled, registered, and hauled my first load. Still have a few things to do like a winch mount and change my hydraulic lines a bit. I have one fitting that just won't stop leaking no matter what I try.
Final weight was #2700. That's #137 more than the prints listed it to be. So I'm looking at #4300 max payload. Not horrible but definitely limiting.

The paint looks better than these pictures but I can't keep the ash off things right now with all the forest fires in the area.

nice work. a piece of 2.5" box tube on some angle welded to the front channel would make a easy and removable hitch style witch mount. I've done this on 3-4 trailers now. I don't like keeping the winch out in the elements year round.

very nice build! think your going to be bumping up those axle numbers soon! main reason i went with a 20ft 10K when i bought my new one. 2K unladen weight limits those 7K axle combos fast.

love the rim and tire package. where id you find them?

Shott8283 I totally agree! Biggest mistake I made goin with 3500 axles. I got the rims tires from trailer wheels.com. Thank you for your compliments

No good ones yet. I've used it twice now. Once to haul my brothers grand am and once to the landfill loaded with tree branches. So far it has done great other than my hydraulic leak. Here's the one pic I have.

Great build log. thanks for sharing. If this was asked, apologies, but all in, how much money do you think you actually saved doing all of this yourself? I know for some that's not the point, but it is a strong consideration for most who could take from your experience and decide if it's a good use of their time.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

I would say I didn't save anything. You could buy a trailer with the same gvw for about half what I spent. However, it would not have breaks on both axles, nicer looking rims, power up/down hydraulics, custom tongue box, etc. it was something I wanted to do and did so knowing I would spend more than the average trailer of that size.
