What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Made up a few car grill badges to commemorate Scotland reaching the World Cup after an 28 year absence. I’m under no illusions; if we get out the group we’ll be doing well. Etched aluminium and infilled with modellers enamel. May send one of them across with a friend of mine thats travelling to...

You've done well with the paintwork and making up the centre caps. A bit of lateral thinking and a can do attitude goes a long way; also provides a good story to tell with the car - cant see many people spinning their own centres at a meet.. Perhaps not my cup of tea but can appreciate the...

I've got one of them Grizz! Bought it a couple of years ago for £50. From memory it does run but had a cracked fuel line/grommet where it meets the tank. One day.. I hope to paint a lurid metallic and hang it on the wall..

Try posting an ad. on Shiply Grizz? I tried it in the past and didn't particularly like it/have much success but used it late last year to move an old vending machine from SE England to here and it worked out well. You have the benefit of being on a main transit corridor and being able to liaise...

Brewdog is Aberdeenshire based and given the approximate distances you've mentioned I assume your road trip will take you to the north? Have a nice Christmas!

If you don't like it when painted I'm sure it can always be changed again with a bit more time and money. That said, upload the picture to Google Gemini (AI) for example, and ask it to change the colour to that green - or any other colours buzzing around your head... You'd be surprised at how...

Our retired Doctor lives in **** Place; It's a plush part of Edinburgh. That said, I don't think the "Newmobile' would look too out of place on the street; there's a few people with quaint ideas there!

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Not a direct image from in the garage but the result of a couple of months work inside..! A little MG earning its keep. Was bought unseen as a project from an auction a few months ago whereby it had formed part of a deceaseds estate and hadn't really done much in the past 9 years. Upon arrival...

You're not wrong; Below is our local South African... I think I impressed him that when telling me he was having a BBQ for dinner I asked "would that be a Braai?"..! Around a year ago he wandered into work looking to have a little job done and we got talking about a car show held on the...

Glad you're making progress and the door was remedied. Despite being a setback at the time it gives you a(nother) tale to go along with the truck that you can laugh about and only serves to enhance your skillset; "a calm sea doesn't make a good sailor" etc. Keep at it and make sure that you're...

    Show off your woodworking

Used to enjoy woodworking as kid making bird houses etc. but felt limited by the lack of access to materials and tools. Once the welder came along and I could stick bits of metal together wood was quickly cast aside. Whatever woodworking I've done since has really been necessary to complete a...

Wise move. You're at an advantage that the panels look to be a pretty thick gauge so there's less chance of warpage/better chance of someone taking the job on. I have no experience of it personally (or the costs!) but surely there must be a car dipping/stripping place in the South East that may...

Admittedly I've not watched the video yet but have you considered using some paint stripper to help cut through the layers? It can be a bit hit or miss, but when it works it's invaluable, although messy. Last stuff I used was Starchem, albeit that was a couple of years ago now.
