    New floor chipped?

Moved some stuff back in after 5 days of curing and an air compressor hose got loose. The metal connector end dropped about 4' and to my surprise chipped the floor. Note image is very close up, size is about 3/8 x 1/2 in. The white you see in the middle is the first primer coat -- that is...

    Anti-slip appearance

Here's a picture to give a better idea of scale. I think I would've been happier with an ultra-fine/powder-type product. Installer says this is 50 grit polypropylene.

    Yes, that's a 4" drop/tire stop.

    Anti-slip appearance

The top clear coat is listed as a "100% solids, two-component aliphatic polyhybrid"... The grit is suspended in the clear as the floor looked perfect just prior to the clear going on. Pretty sure it's aluminum oxide. The installer accidentally used the more aggressive grit the first time so...

    Anti-slip appearance

Finally moved forward on having the garage floor professionally coated last weekend. Overall the workmanship and products used seem spot on. Of course there's an exception, the decision to add anti-slip to the estimate. I originally hadn't planned on it, but the installer recommended it and...

    Another grinding question...

Thanks for the advice. I was able to get the dyma-serts instead as I don't want to be in the garage all day. Will get the vacuum too. One more question... how soon should I plan to epoxy after grinding? Should I power wash after grinding (and allow plenty of drying time) to get the dust off?

Quikrete garage floor debacle... two coats possible?

Using the Rust-Oleum boxed product on a friends garage, they recommended lightly sanding the prior coat (once it was completely dry). We used wall sanders to rough-it-up a little and then washed it down with just water. That was two years ago and no problems thus far.

Got outgassing on the epoxy. Any tips other than normal?

Would it be better to put the first coat on towards the evening hours when temperatures are falling and generally more stable?

    Another grinding question...

So, the garage is finally clear and I've decided to rent a grinder to get the surface prepped right and smooth out a few uneven areas. The floor is in decent shape, four years old, ~500 sq. ft. with no prior coatings. I will also etch a few impressions the grinder will miss so that the filling...
