Venting for Beacon-Morris 45K low profile heater

Ok, "GJ" folks, before I mount my new garage heater (Beacon-Morris 45K), what are the opinions on venting, straight up through the roof or horizontal wall vent? I have a clear shot either way, standard roof boards above and brick siding on the gable end. Thanks in advance for the advice!

    Electric heat

Ok, so for the folks in Michigan type climates, how has running electric affected your electric bill. I'm planing in keeping the unit on 40-ish when I'm not using the garage and turn it up for project time. Cost v. Ease of instal v. Running gas line and venting. A lot of different opinion here.

    Heating attached garage

Jackfre, thats a wall unit correct? How does that perform over the larger ceiling units. 3" hole for direct venting horizontal or vert. We get some pretty cold days here in Mich. I have a brick exterior on my garage walls. How does that venting work straight out the back??

    Heating attached garage

Thanks for the info, I'm in the Detroit area so our weather is the same...all the info I have keeps coming back to the NG forced style heater for my set up. Finished with 1964 insulation in the walls, I will be adding to the attic, door is already insulated so that should help with heat...

    Heating attached garage

Thanks sarman47! Do you have any condensation issues?? trying to decide on open v. sealed combustion chamber. There is a price diff (more for sealed), but I can get the same heater here at my local Lowes-which I am leaning heavily towards.
