Ok, "GJ" folks, before I mount my new garage heater (Beacon-Morris 45K), what are the opinions on venting, straight up through the roof or horizontal wall vent? I have a clear shot either way, standard roof boards above and brick siding on the gable end.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Straight up through the roof.

I've never liked the look of horizontal vents.

Just my personal opinion. Regardless of which system is used, if it is installed correctly, it should perform equally well.

I am of the opposite opinion. I would go horizontal. I don't like putting any holes in the roof that aren't absolutely necessary. Just one more potential leak in the future.
