I built my own in the shape of a cross. The cross member goes across 2 joists and the short point of the long member goes under the deck board. Just push down the long arm to lift up the deck board. I'd recommend using 2x6 yellow pine (rather than SPF lumber) for strength. I had around 250...

One other thought.... How would it look if you pulled the back-left corner away from the wall some to shrink the gap on the right side? Instead of having a 7/16 gap on the side, split the difference and have a small gap on the back and small gap on the side. It might be less noticeable once...

Deck screws for me too. The only thing i'd add is to use tan ones... they blend in great with the color of OSB.
