    Dad's Old Husky Toolset

Thanks, Woody! It's a labor of love. I grew up using these tools and really want to try to complete the set like they were when Dad first got them. I've actually acquired almost a duplicate set of Husky tools in my search for missing items.

    Dad's Old Husky Toolset

Impala, that's a really nice condition ratchet! Its a nice example of a tool with the more rounded Husky underline logo, typical of earlier Husky tools.

Two down, two to go...I'm slowly but surely completing my tappet wrench set. Where are those Husky underline wrenches?

    Dad's Old Husky Toolset

I now have almost identical SAE and Metric Husky 3/4"-1/4" sets. The blue metric set was NOS/unopened when I bought it. These are both Litton-era sets.

    Dad's Old Husky Toolset

I just acquired this nice condition deluxe Husky toolbox. This one is deeper than the standard box and has a removable tray with socket divider. I plan on using it for my overflow box for all of the duplicate Husky pieces I have in my plunder.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Does anyone know where I could get a leaf spring for the static jaw on an Adams Diamond vise? The spring is about two inches long and has a hole on one end for a bolt. Here's a picture of another Adams with the spring intact.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Jreb, that was a sweet example of the Adams vise! Thanks for the info on the handle. I'd never realized that there was so much interest in old vises. In fact, until recently, I hadn't really thought about them having any collectability. I knew it was ancient, having belonged to my WWI vet...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Here's another Diamond vise someone sold recently on eBay. I noticed that his has the original spindle handle. Ours does not. My Brother said he remembered our vise having one, but there's no telling why it's missing. Dad stuck an old military antenna guy stake through the spindle head to use as...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

The vise is embossed "The Diamond Vise" on one edge of the dynamic jaw and "The Adams Co. Dubuque, IA" on the other. On top of the static jaw is embossed "Patented JAN.15:1895." On this model, the static jaw actually moves (so isn't really static!) by means of a series of teeth along the...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Here's my Adams Diamond vise. It was my Grandfather's originally. He was a professional carpenter from around 1910 until he retired in the late '50s. My Mother remembers as a little girl in the early '30s watching Grandpa clamp his tool blades up in this vise to sharpen them. He gave it to my...

Here's my nice little 1/4" drive Litton-era Husky tool kit.

    Dad's Old Husky Toolset

Thanks for looking through your sockets. I've had some good luck finding most of what I need to complete my tools, but there are a few items still left. Does anyone by chance have a spare Husky 3/8" drive 9/16" deep well socket? The one I need is the knurled style, no. CBD18.

    Dad's Old Husky Toolset

Bluebolt, are there a couple of knurled band 1/2" drive sockets there in the cookie sheet? I'm needing a 1 1/4" and 1 1/16" for my other set-they don't have to be underlined Husky logos, just knurled band. Also, the screwdrivers are veeeeery interesting!
