Dad's set is almost complete! I'm just missing three wrenches. I'm sure some will turn up eventually!

Btw, does anyone have any 1950s, '60s or '70s Husky catalogs? It would be interesting to see some scans!

Do a search for old Allied Radio Catalog's they were sold via them back in the 60's.Somewhere I came across an archive of all the old catalogs and found several ad's for the Husky tool sets.
I bought a complete set via Allied in I think 1968.

Here's all my underlined Husky stuff if anything appeals to you in the bottom of the picture. The stuff in the cookie sheet and just to it's left is all later Husky.

Bluebolt, are there a couple of knurled band 1/2" drive sockets there in the cookie sheet? I'm needing a 1 1/4" and 1 1/16" for my other set-they don't have to be underlined Husky logos, just knurled band. Also, the screwdrivers are veeeeery interesting!

Very cool. Was Husky actually a manufacturer back then, or were they rebranding?

They were owned by New Britain.

From AA:

In the early 1930s New Britain Machine acquired the Husky brand (and possibly production facilities) from the Husky Corporation of Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Husky Corporation had been established in 1924 as the Husky Wrench Company in Milwaukee, and during the 1920s had developed a well-regarded line of socket tools. (See our article on the Husky Wrench Company for more information.) By the late 1920s Husky even had a cooperative sales agreement with the giant J.H. Williams, supplying the first sockets sold by the latter company.

So far we haven't been able to find any details regarding the acquisition of Husky by New Britain, as the Husky name just seems to disappear from the public records around 1931. If any of our readers have information on this, please let us know.

As a division of New Britain Machine, the Husky brand became very well known over the following decades. During the 1930s and 1940s Husky brand tools were sold with the same design and style as the popular Craftsman BE and H-Circle tools of the time. The Husky brand continued in production until at least the 1970s.

Here's the 3/8" set I found on eBay. It's a mid '60s set and contains both standard and underlined Husky logos throughout the pieces. One of the original sockets from my 1/2" set had an underlined logo, as did all of the tappet wrenches. I had to replace the missing 3" extension and the 9/16" deep well socket is cracked, so I'll need to replace it. Overall, this is a cherry set!

Looks like the set my Dad had.

Couple of knurled 1" sockets but not the larger ones you were looking for.

Thanks for looking through your sockets. I've had some good luck finding most of what I need to complete my tools, but there are a few items still left.

Does anyone by chance have a spare Husky 3/8" drive 9/16" deep well socket? The one I need is the knurled style, no. CBD18.

I just acquired this nice condition deluxe Husky toolbox. This one is deeper than the standard box and has a removable tray with socket divider. I plan on using it for my overflow box for all of the duplicate Husky pieces I have in my plunder.

I now have almost identical SAE and Metric Husky 3/4"-1/4" sets. The blue metric set was NOS/unopened when I bought it. These are both Litton-era sets.

Two down, two to go...I'm slowly but surely completing my tappet wrench set. Where are those Husky underline wrenches?

Impala, that's a really nice condition ratchet! Its a nice example of a tool with the more rounded Husky underline logo, typical of earlier Husky tools.

Thanks, Woody! It's a labor of love. I grew up using these tools and really want to try to complete the set like they were when Dad first got them. I've actually acquired almost a duplicate set of Husky tools in my search for missing items.
