Been working for some time replacing wood rot on my camper. Abnormal high daytime loadshedding caused the job to be waaay longer than it shoud have been. Here is some remains of some of the rotten wood and also the new back frame fitted. Cannot carry on as there is loadshedding again.
One of 6 dining room chairs that needed fixing. The back ends came loose over the years. New dowels and wood glue fixed it. 1 chair also had the wood of the seat replaced and re-upholstered.
That will work for the seat section, have done it myself. For the back rest you will most likely have to sew a pillow like sleeve and pull it over the sponge, tuck in and staple from below. Use the old material as template
The accelerator shaft of my Badger Jeep broke. Just had to pull it out of the pedal assembly (standard early VW type). Welded up and grinded back to nominal size. Difficult part is to get it back into assembly sleeve. Confined space is the problem
For a once off, this is what I have done. Get a piece of thick walled pipe of your required diameter, cut rough teeth on one end with angle grinder, place teeth side at required spot and hit with hammer, turning pipe in between blows. Takes time but works. You might have to cut new teeth on...
Removed fuel rack and injectors of Nissan Hardbody (VG30 engine). Purpose is to bench test injectors for possible blockage. Refuses to start thought at times there are attempts to fire up. There is spark and fuel up to the furl rack. So basically I am doing fault finding.
