1/4" hex impact with socket adapter

I use my Milwaukee m12 impact driver with a 1/4" hex to 1/2" drive adapter to run lug nuts down before hitting them with my torque wrench. The impact driver probably gets the nuts to about 90 ft lb, i set my torque wrench to 100 ft lb and only have about 1/16th of a turn until it clicks, every...

Post your water well and pump questions

Im looking at a particular house in hopes of buying it. It has a well, which will be a first for me as I've always been on city water. With that said I have zero knowledge on water wells. The pump, tank etc is located beside the 3 car detached garage and is exposed to the elements. My...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Re: Let's see your lap dogs. This is George. He's a 5 year old Boston. Just an awesome dog. I took this picture yesterday as he was staring out at the back yard, contemplating life's greatest mysteries.

My Snap On Dealer Hooked Me Up

Yeah I only charge to the truck account, no interest, same as cash. My balance is never more than $500 and I pay it off promptly. He also charges less than list price on most everything I've bought, like the FLF80 ratchet, retails for $117, I bought it for $85. The thermometer was $30 btw

My Snap On Dealer Hooked Me Up

I guess he likes me then, because I have only spent a fraction of what my coworkers have spent. I haven't spent too much because I already have most everything that I need. I keep my balance low or paid off, while my coworkers are several thousand dollars in debt with him. I'm not sure yet...

My Snap On Dealer Hooked Me Up

So Friday morning the Snap On truck rolls up to my shop. I get on the truck with the sole intention of making a payment and that's all. As I'm standing there, waiting for my coworker to finish his transaction, I'm looking at this shop thermometer sitting on the dash area of the truck next to an...

Some of my newest toys for work. I love the ct761 3/8 impact, lots of torque from a compact gun. The CTR761A ratchet is pretty awesome as well. I wish it had a little more torque, but the speed makes up for it.

I broke my Wilton vise today

Here is another picture that I took today. This is in an independent auto shop that opened in 2007, so this vise is 8 years old. It was bought new at Lowes. I'll admit that the work I do probably exceeds the original design of this light duty vise, but I wouldnt say that I have abused it, we...

I broke my Wilton vise today

I'll say it again, I had already pressed in the u-joint with the proper press, I work in a well equipped shop, this is just my work bench. The owner of the shop, my boss will handle the warranty issues. Upon inspection I could see that a portion of the broken area was dirty, and a larger...

I broke my Wilton vise today

Lol, I had already pressed the u-joint in, but the u-joint retainers at the end of the shaft had drawn inward, I had it clamped in by the u-joint caps, trying to move the strap over enough so I could get the clip in the groove.

I broke my Wilton vise today

This is the vise on my workbench at work. I had a part clamped in it today going to town with my air hammer when it broke. It was just par for the course, typical Monday.

New addition to the toolbox - Snap On CTR761A Cordless Ratchet

I'm a mechanic at a busy independent shop. For the past year I have tortured this m12 3/8 ratchet, and it continues to do it's job, but it's starting to get stripped out and a little weak, the battery doesn't stay secure and the black grip is disintegrating. Its time to send the Milwaukee in...
