    A/C-powered bluetooth speaker

There are a few ways to get to what you want. You could take a normal stereo from a thrift store and plug in a logitech (or any offbrand) bluetooth adapter that will plug in with RCA cables from amazon (about $40 CDN so like 6 Freedom dollars). Or go higher end bluetooth speaker, I use a JBL...

Check diodes and mosfets screwed to the heatsink. Check diodes for reverse conduction and mosfets for continuity between drain and source (there should be none )

Probably not that sensor then. With the unit off try a measurement of resistance between the torch and ground. Make sure red probe of multimeter is on torch side

Does the light eventually reset itself or stay on? Also if you have a multimeter can you measure the resistance across those two terminals on the thermostat? Also is the fan running when you turn on the unit?

Lonesouth, did you look inside at all? First thoughts are that the wire on the thermostat is shorting somewhere. When you open it and are looking at it from the front the thermostat is screwed to the aluminum block on the right side of the unit. Check worrying and exposed wire and let us know

Yeah typical of this unit. You're hearing all the internal works being starved for power while it bleeds down the internal voltage. Not doing any harm to it though.

Hi gnpenning . Sorry to keep you waiting, going to try to help as best I can. Havnt had any time lately. Got the manual for the bottom board written but your problem is probably on the middle or top board like mine was. First thing I would check is the diodes on the middle board. They are the...

Hi gnpenning you'll probably have to open it up and measure a few things. Do you have a multimeter that measures diode drops and resistance. I hadn't gotten to that part of the diagnosing manual but I can throw something together to help you out. Sorry for being slow right now. Shop is...

Started working on one but then shop got too busy for its own good. Gong to jump back on it when things die down a bit. Are you having issues that we can help with?

AnEv942 There are a few "modifications" on these boards, I hadn't noticed the one on the bottom board that you did aside from the extra diodes in the pilot arc circuit, but there are a few on the top board. Just a note, the wire wound resistors are there to make sure that when you let go of the...

I just finished fixing mine!! :rocker: Now back to cutting. I made some improvements to it, write up is comming just got behind with shop stuff this week. But as for the pilot arc, my pilot arc was terrible out of the box with fresh consumables, it would work, but was very sensitive to air...

Sounds like your output is short circuiting sort of. My unit is apart on my bench right now, but if you have a multimeter, are you able to turn the unit on in "will let me make a cut" mode, measure the voltage between the tip and ground (should be about 0V). Then if it is about 0V measure the...

Just to get the chain of events straight in my head, unit cuts for a bit, then stops working, do you still get pilot arc or nothing?, then you fiddle with it (what exactly are you doing) then the OC light comes on. Changing electrodes seems to fix it. I'm in the middle of fixing mine after...

I'm reverse engineering parts of it right now while I fix mine, unless someone has a schematic of our particular unit, I've got one for the regular Cut-50 (no display) but I'm missing certain blocks and there are a few differences from what we have.
