    New Milwaukee Products!

This is what I ended up with after buying: 1 sheet 4x8' 3/4" paint grade plywood 3 eight foot lengths of 1/16"x2" aluminum angle 4 ninety-degree corner brackets to reinforce the back side corners 4 casters from Princess auto If you put the rails on a 5 1/2" pitch, you can stack two of the...

    New Milwaukee Products!

Nice! Now label those bins so you have a chance at pulling the right one out first time! I am going to get busy and build me one of those.

    New Milwaukee Products!

Just wondered if anyone has a setup to rack Packout trays in the workshop, similar to this: I was just going to buy one of those cheap cabinet shells that have 20 shelf pin holes in the sides, but maybe there's a better way? I can see that he does not have full width shelves.

    Toolbox shopping

The vendor you mentioned publishes an 800 number that can't be dialled from my phone in Canada, so I'm going to assume they don't sell to Canadians. This is the case for many American vendors. If you can find one who will agree to ship to Canada, it is quite typical to get a bill for brokerage...

    Toolbox shopping

Watching this thread closely. The Costco Gray Tool 42" package is a couple hundred C$ cheaper than my local Gray Tools dealer. I am looking hard at Nepros but they seem to deliver using UPS. That delivery company is unbelievable for screwing over Canadians with brokerage fees.

My First Garage - 20x20 Attached in Vancouver, Canada

Hey nice BMW! I have the same or similar car, my garage is about 20x20, and I'm looking for a toolbox setup similar to yours. I should have bought those SPG International boxes when Costco was selling them, I am not sure what to make of the Gray Marquis tool boxes Costco is selling today...

    Another heater sizing question

My garage is more or less identical to your first garage, and our climates are probably quite similar. I wrestled with the 30 vs 45 decision and went the same way you did - I bought a 45 kBTU (input) 80% efficient Hot Dawg. Maybe we will both have slightly oversized heaters together, but I...

Any way to insulate ceiling without taking sheetrock down?

I am also in southern Ontario, doing much the same work. I am pulling down all the sheetrock on the ceiling, because I need (at least, I think I need) to install a plastic vapour barrier between the sheetrock and the underside of the joists. The alternative would be to spray in 1-2" of high...

Appropriate heater size for Canadian garage?

That's the thing, I think I oversized it. Modine also makes a 30k BTU (input) model, which would provide around 24 kBTU output. Should I return the 45k and order the 30k model?

Appropriate heater size for Canadian garage?

For sure. The cars are rust sprayed by Krown every year, and I try to keep them clean. I see it as a tradeoff between comfort and body life. Also, one of the cars is a diesel that I will be returning to VW in a few months (or up to 2 years, if the settlement resembles the American one) due to...

Appropriate heater size for Canadian garage?

Thanks. I am in Kingston, ON.

Appropriate heater size for Canadian garage?

I have a two-car garage, 20x22x10'. One wall adjoins the house. At the time this temperature graph was made during the coldest week last winter, the walls and ceiling were uninsulated. Note that the graph is shown in "science degrees" (Celsius) Since then, I have insulated the walls and...

    shed foundation

I used six Redi-footings, which use Schedule 40 PVC (sewer) pipe as structural members. My shed is 9x12', which was the maximum size I could build without a permit. With the Redi-footings, you just excavate a hole below the frost line (48" where I am), put in the foot with the pipe, and...

Any thoughts on New Age "Performance" cabinets please

I bought a grey NewAge cabinet in 2013, from Costco.ca. It was called NewAge Locker Cabinet - Item# 306572, price C$224.99. I take it, that it was the 24 gauge locker of the day. One of the doors never quite closed properly, misalignment of the magnet or hinges or something. But otherwise it...

Do SPG International toolboxes go on sale at Costco in Canada?

Just FYI, the 56" 10-drawer wood-topped cabinet is on sale from May 23 to June 5 for $180 off, so $769.99 delivered. Search for 100085442. I think the sale is for Executive members only. I am on the fence as to whether to pony up for the $1750 heavy duty model. I only use tools on weekends...
