Wishing the US would formally change to the metric system

Metrics are more simple. You can use basic child level math to know how many grams make up a kilo, or how many meters make up a kilometer.. It's super simple to use. I've used both systems and still do. But learning the metric system is much easier than SAE

Oil drain reservoir for the shop, worth it?

Good evening. How do you drain and store your oil when servicing cars etc? I have come across a used oil reservoir you roll around the shop with a big funnel on top that you use to drain the oil into. When it's full you can connect your compressor and empty the content into whatever you...

    Best budget/aesthetic workbench top

I chose beech wood.. By far the cheapest option around here besides the solid core doirs that are extremely scarse in these areas for some reasons. They exist but usually have patterns and engravings as **** making the too thin in certain areas. Those that were not was too expensive compared to...

The one tool never to cheap out on?

Wrong question. It's the equipment you dont want to cheap out on. Chinese made anything i will take a pass on. Having a tool that fails means busted knuckes or over/under torqued bolts. Having a cheap chinese 2 post lift fail on you while using it can mean death. I know this as it happened...

    Elephant Garage

Hi Bugthug.. It's not just epoxy paint there. I grinded the floor with a small grinder, primered, poured some self-leveling, and then primered again, and poured the epoxy. And the results are not perfect. A pro would have made it look like a million dollars! -A bit more progress. Keep en mind i...

    Why Snap-On?

I have ratchets that has been used profesionally day in and day out since the late 70'ies and early 80'ies.. This goes for sockets and wrenches too. Only the wrenches are somewhat worn after abusing the open end instead of using the right tool for the job. . They're all Stahlwille. What im...
