    If you use plywood plates make them at least 14" tall and 16" long and glue to the edges. Also use a triangle nailing pattern, it is much more rigid.

    I am getting some osb sheathing installed along with some doors and windows. The doors are for a sorta loading dock and the windows were free. I am going to cover the osb with tar paper. I have some red cedar for the siding over the osb.

    I went on a service call no power to house. Found a home owner install with one power leg from the meter base was hooked to neutral and consequently to ground (bonded). It was a trailer house and the whole thing was energized. Called the power company to pull the meter and they pulled the ground...

    Add a shunt trip breaker to your panel and wire the shunt trip to your power feed. When the power comes back on it will trip the generator breaker and then you can turn the main breaker back on. Zero chance of powering the power feed. The best is a transfer switch.

    I just twist and cut even on the ends. A few scratches Will not hurt anything. Been doing it this way since 1965 and never a problem!
