    Core support spot welds

They actually sell spot weld drill bits. They are for doing that exact thing and work great, just need to find a place that sells them. I know tool trucks carry them, I imagine any body shop supply place would have them.:dunno: Here ya go. http://www.eastwood.com/welders/spot-weld-cutters.html

1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap (EcoBoosted)

Why dump it? :dunno: Take the time to get better and then get back into the swing, you have tons of time and effort, not counting the $$ wrapped up in this project why not back burner it for a while and finish it up at a later time? No matter what, your health is the most important thing, just...

    Sacramento tool stores?

Dont know about tool stores but if you are in the market for bitchin hardware at great bulk prices dont miss blue collar supply. On top of "by the pound" hardware they usually have a great supply of one off stuff from the base  http://www.bluecollar-supply.com/...

I know you don't have to buy this through snapon

Every place sells those, they are made by innovative products. Although fair warning, I warrantied a **** load of those before I got out of the business, they dont hold up for the long run it seems. They were not a lifetime warranty item.

    Adjustable handel Ratchet

Yep, got one of those in my tool box. Dont use it very often though, considering I have every length of ratchet it seems, and I never use it like a regular ratchet, its always when you need to use it as an offset that its needed, but when you need it, its priceless.

    700r4 transmission (4x4) - general rebuild questions...

500 is cheap, but as stated above, ALWAYS install a new converter. What I did on mine is I had the lockup converter setup completely removed, so now I have no lockup at all. There is some valve body work and a different converter that is needed but it pulls better and puts more power to the...

How can mechanics afford Snap On?

take it from an ex tool truck owner, some trucks do have interest on the truck accounts. FYI, I know of a tool dealer that has actually loaned people a down payment to buy a house on a weekly tab.

Matco 10.8V 1/4" Drive Impact Wrench

As with everything else, depends on the moose that installed them last and the application. I use it on water pumps all the time, but a SBC with 3/8 bolts that are crammed down might be out of the question, keep in mind its still only 50 FT lbs. Yes I have done a whole suburu timing belt/water...

Matco 10.8V 1/4" Drive Impact Wrench

Independent general repair auto shop. I use it on intakes/timing covers/timing belt replacement. Keep in mind you wont be pulling tires or harmonic balancers with it, but I rarely use my 1/4 ratchet anymore. Space limitations are the only issue but its a small unit. Seriously, its a...
