Do you mean the upper cabinets? No, they came that way - they're not from Lowes, they're actually from Canadian Tire. Cheers, Ian

Thanks! I'll end up using some form of rubber mat to protect the surface when I'm working on large parts/tools. I'm not going to fret about getting it scratched a bit here and there - it's a workbench and I'm going to use it. :) Cheers, Ian

I just finished off a workbench that I built from a pair of Husky 52" cabinets and some Ash hardwood. The top was a fair bit of work but I'm happy with it. Cheers, Ian

    California Air Tools

Good points, all around but you can't buy anything from HD online with a Canadian credit card. We really don't have an option in terms of HD vs Amazon. FWIW, the compressor was well packed and showed up with no damage at all.

Thanks firworks! I grabbed one from Amazon since Home Depot doesn't like online purchases from us Canadians. I picked it up today - awesome little unit. It's soooo quiet! Cheers, Ian

    Home Depot furious.

The only review of the 72" cabinet was a bad one. IMO, it sounds like it's a different vendor than the 52" boxes (which were well reviewed). https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-72-in-18-Drawer-Mobile-Workbench-with-Adjustable-Height-Solid-Wood-Top-Matte-Black-HOLC7218BB1MYS/302255876

Had one in my hand this afternoon in South Buffalo but it rang up regular price. I don't know anything about NLP or PCA so I gave up.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

I can't speak for longevity but the build quality of the James/Diva tubes seems to be pretty good.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

A single tube using 120V consumes .137A, which doesn't really make sense as that's more per tube than what I'm seeing against 2 tubes using a ballast.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

So I talked with Scott at LEDlightingWholesaleInc and he said that the bulbs can be run directly off of 120V as per the documentation on their site. I thought it was worth testing so I plugged a bulb directly into and extension cord and it lit right up! They work as advertised. Cheers...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

I will give them a call to figure out what happened. My biggest concern lies in power usage with a ballast. I have a light switch that's controlled by my garage door opener and it can only handle a 300 Watt load. Based on 18W a piece, I was expecting to run 8 dual light fixtures in a single...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

So I bought the lights listed by the OP in 4000K: http://www.ledlightingwholesaleinc.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ZY-T8-18W1200-BIXX&CartID=1 But... the installation instructions and diagrams on the tubes themselves only list usage _with_ a ballast. The instructions listed on their...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Not sure if this is the place to ask but is anyone in the western Greater Toronto Area interested in ~10 of the James/Diva lights (@4000K) listed by the OP in the first post? http://www.ledlightingwholesaleinc.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ZY-T8-18W1200-BIXX&CartID=1 Cheers, Ian
