Knix, awesome build. Noticed the ITC truck. You work for them? I work for one of the bigger electric utilities in SE Mich. I worked with ITC a few times on some MAT switching. Where about are you at.... My parents are in Grayling. Take care... and great build.
Kerryt, I have been using the same kind.. I got mine from Tractor supply. Check tractorsupply.com First time I set these last year I got 2 right away. Moles don't mess with my yard anymore. I also started putting down grub killer. that has helped alot and is the best defense. If you have...
I appreciate your comments PRH44, thanks for not having such a big ego like some others around here.
The load in the shop is very minimal. I went with 100 amp service out there because that was the size wire I had let over from something else.
No ****! I had limited space, resources and a short window to complete. having a family with special needs didn't allow me to have the meter pulled all day to make it look pretty. and I wasn't really concerned with where you thought it would pass. Like I said earlier, I plan on cleaning it up...
Lets say I was going to change out my meter from a 200amp to a 400 amp... would the utility change out the wire from the pole to the meter to accomodate the other 200 amp possibility? If not then you are saying that the existing drop can handle 400amps, correct?

Here are the pics of what I did:
1. The first pic is in my attached garage. from there it runs out to my barn about 275 ft.
2. In the 1st pic the meter is on the outside wall directly behind the lower box with the 200amp main disconnect for the house (my service panel for my house is on an...
I left the load side of the meter connected. and took the other end and went to the lug box instead of the house panel. So those leads coming from the meter were like the "feed" wires for the lugs. Then I came out of the lugs with "I believe" #1 copper. Whatever size copper is rated for 200...
Check these out... I bought several of them. I only have one hooked up right now just to see how bright they are. they are very nice!!! low starting temp and come with mounting hardware and bulbs!! best price that I have found...
Its LTE. If I was to go through verizon it would cost me. Not sure how this app does it, but it bypasses that need. Most android users will root there phone to gain access to the hotspot feature without paying. But rooting comes with some big risks
Let me get back to ya on that, currently at work... We just used it in the car for the first time on tuesday taking the family to great wolf lodge. My wife said it was just as fast as being on the WiFi at home. I will run a speed test and get you some numbers. This app bypasses the need to...
