I have the double open end set from Asahi. They're useful as the opening is very slim. Great for slipping in cramped fuel fittings. Haven't marred them up, but then again I only use them when i can't slip a regular open end in. Even then I don't abuse them much. They get my vote! I want some for...

I avoided using 1/4 drive for many years and struggled because of that. Tried it late last year and couldn't believe how useful it was. Alot of what I do mainly involves 8-10 and 12mm nuts. 1/4 drive is so cheap, you can easily afford both shallow and deeps for the times you need to get in tight...
I have their 1/4 drive shallow set that I use at the junkyard weekly. I use the 10mm the most and don't go easy on it. It's very good, love that I can easily read the size. The only thing holding me back from getting the 3/8 and 1/2 drives are the skips. A damn shame.
I never really touched tools till I started driving at 23. The closest I ever got up to that point was holding the flashlight for my dad. After a number of roadside mishaps, Ive come to appreciate not only having tools, but also having the right set of tools. Never was fit for school honestly...
I browse through the reviews on their site when Im interested in an item they have. Just gotta be smart about what you get, but overall Ive been satisfied with the quality. Without HF, I couldn't accomplish half the tasks and projects I get. Thumbs up from me
I know what you mean OP. I started giving away tools left and right because I realized they have no real use with me. I started leaving them randomly at the junkyard I go to. I love finding tools at the yard and figured these tools will have a 2nd life with other gearheads rather than be thrown...
I really enjoy using my Taiwan made Williams! I have both 3/8 and 1/2 sets that I use on the regular for my cars and junkyard. They hold up to abuse and didn't break the bank. I'd feel comfortable getting the US made no problem.
They're decent enough for me. I like them better than my $60 multi. The accuracy falls off when the battery(9 volt) falls down to 7 or less. This was proven on a YouTube video. The leads on mine are still fine, but I dont use this everyday
The worst Ive gotten was engine grime in my eyes and that hurt my eyes for a few days afterwards. It's annoying, but safety glasses and face shields are important. Feel better soon
I base my tool purchases more on high reviews more than warranty. I'm no pro yet, and I'm not one to gorilla any tool past it's limit (not a strong lad for that lol). If a tool breaks on me, it usually didn't cost me my first unborn child. I do shop at Harbor Freight, but I also get nice stuff...

$69.95 + $5.92 shipping if you really want the Metric set. I just bought myself the SAE set [can't beat that price!], but as for metric, I do have...
I share the same feelings. When I first got a car I was some dumb 19 year old that only had my father's deep impact socket set as my main go to. Needless to say alot of repairs were painfully slow and hard! Took me a few breakowns to start purchasing a few extra tools here and there. Before I...
I had a student discount for Snap On 2 years ago. Didnt buy a thing. Students are so quick to buy all those shiny tools, not realizing theyre walking into debt. If you dont need anything, save your money.
