    That is pretty cool. I love the old flatheads. My first was a 41wl then a 47 wl and now the 41wld. I only have the wld now and parts to start a 32rl. But that is was down the line if ever. Post some pics sometime of your bikes.

    You are correct WWIIjeep. It is missing a lot of parts. It still works great. I guess I hate to part things out sometimes. I may just sell it like it is to someone local. I am not sure what the box is on the side Alan. I have put much though into until now. It does seem kind of pointless though.

    I think you are right. It looks a lot like a SB 9" work shop lathe. Or at least is has a lot of similarities.

    It's a 1941 wld that I have been building. All I have to do now is crank it. (Well then adjust timing and carb)

    Thank you all for the information and help. I am at a loss. I have looked this thing over and over and cannot find any stamps. I will double check the tail stock to make sure I did not miss anything.
