Recommendation for rechargeable flashlight for the shop

I use this Presa light every day. I love it. Battery life is good enough for all day use and it is very bright. Brake cleaner does eat at the rubber a little bit but it stills cleans up well. It has a very thin profile which is great for fitting into tight areas...

Looking for a bolt.. probably a long shot

I think what you are looking for is just a hole plug. That style is called pointed truss. I don't know where you will find one though. You can't use a carriage bolt in that application. The sheet metal is too thin. The nut on the backside will contact the square part of the head. To use a bolt...

Two post lift anchor bolts keep taking torque?

I installed my lift about 9 months ago. It's a two post ground plate lift, 9klbs. I forget the exact details of the concrete but it exceeded the specs required by the lift installation information but not by much. The lift has been used daily for the last 9 months. The manual called for a torque...

Another thread about epoxy coating an oily garage floor.

I couldn't find pour n restore but I grabbed some degreaser and went at it with a scrub brush. It made a big dent and it does look a lot better, but it's still bad. There is no way epoxy will stick to this. Water still beads up on it. At this point, I'm leaning towards just doing vinyl tile...

Am I doing serious harm to myself? Kerosene Heater...

I have a co monitor in the garage. It's never gone off. Garage must not be sealed as well as I think. Someone else mentioned solvents in the air. Definitely causes big issues when using brake cleaner. Would not recommend.

Am I doing serious harm to myself? Kerosene Heater...

I have that same brand but the next size up. It runs amazingly clean and I have no issues with it. Be sure that you are using good fuel. I recently had a bad batch of Kero and it stunk just like you are describing until I refilled it with good stuff. I've found that it puffs a little when it...

Another thread about epoxy coating an oily garage floor.

That would be me. This garage has had a hard life. It was pretty messed up from the previous owner which led to me being pretty careless at first. Once I got the idea in my head a few months ago to do something about it, I've been careful to catch all fluids before they hit the ground. I've done...

Another thread about epoxy coating an oily garage floor.

Minimizing down time is important. I can stay off it for 5 days (basically I'll take a long weekend).

Another thread about epoxy coating an oily garage floor.

Basically I want it to look nicer for 6 months. I know the Home Depot stuff is garbage but was hoping to just get a little life out of it for <$200 or so in total. Unfortunately, race deck, or a real epoxy floor just isn't in the budget for this place. It would be a waste of money to do it the...

Another thread about epoxy coating an oily garage floor.

I'm looking to epoxy coat my garage floor. I picked up some of the Epoxy garage floor system from Home Depot today. Not the colored stuff with the flakes, just plain high gloss clear. I want to tint it and apply. First, I need to get the floor moderately clean. I'm looking to stay in this garage...
