    High Efficacy LED's - California

    I live in Norway and always get fed up by all this talk about energy efficient bulbs. Outdoor OK, but here where it is cold most of the year any change to a more energy efficient indoor bulb will only make the thermostatically controlled electric heater work correspondingly harder. - No gain !

    4 post and scissor lift - want thoughts/feedback

    Did you consider 2-post lifts ? I find that the 4 posts sort of get in your way while working.

    Cheap garage ceiling ideas?

    I have a garage where the ceiling is made up of lightweight porous concrete elements, where some of the surface started chipping off and falling down on the car below. Fastened wooden slats to the ceiling with 6in special lightweight concrete anchors, and covered the ceiling with plasterboard.

    What's this thing on my Drill Press for ?

    I recently aquired an old Meddings Pacera (English) drill press. Underneath and inside the main body, there is a toothed sector of about 45degrees, which has (to me) no apparent function. The sector teeth will engage with the gear on the axle for the lever which lowers the drill bit. However...
