Paint for slightly to moderately rusty cabinets?

Buy a spray bottle of rust converter at your nearest autobody supply store for about $15.00 a quart. Follow the directions and then prime and paint with an alkyd enamel (implement paint).

Where to find round insulated sheetmetal A/C Duct lines?

Single wall is not insulated, but it can be. If you aren't concerned about seeing the insulation you could either wrap the spiral pipe with fiberglass or you can buy insulation sleeves designed for pipe. Large sheet metal shops make their own spiral pipe, smaller shops order it from the larger...

Where to find round insulated sheetmetal A/C Duct lines?

Yep, what you have pictured is "double-wall spiral pipe". It's available from sheet metal shops. It's not cheap. I think you could just use single wall and be fine. It's a lot less expensive and much easier to install.

    Pexto 676A Punch

We have a few large pexto punches at work and used them daily until we got the iron worker. We still use them when we need to puch a lot of small holes quickly. We weld beam clamps to a piece of heavy channel to mount the punches and bend up jigs and stops out of 14 gauge. Your punch is nice...

    stove pipe... Corrugated roof?

Is this corrugated metal? If you have a piece of the corrugated roof material you can make a flashing and screw and caulk it to your roof. You could use the metal thimble from a flashing for a shingle roof or have a thimble made at a sheet metal shop and have it soldered to your piece of...

electrical plugs on a peg board?

It's called a "duplex receptacle" and, as already stated, just look for an extension for it at your favorite store. They come in various heights.

    New Goodman furnace install

If it was a 90% or higher efficiency furnace it could be vented horizontally. A 90% NG furnace will produce more condensate than an 80% unit, but they are designed to handle it by having the condensate run back to the unit and be drained off. An 80% unit is relying on the heat of combustion to...

    Boot Laces

I use leather laces and I take them out and oil them about 2 times a year using mink oil. By taking them out and putting them back in it shifts them just enough that a new area is against the eyelet, keeping the laces from getting worn through. Welding is hard on anything other than leather.

need a gas line ran from house to new garage HOW???

You can run CSST in PVC conduit, but not the same conduit that has your electric wiring in it. CSST can be done by DIY and you can buy it at Menards. It's very expensive though, and you may save money by having someone else run PE for you.

need a gas line ran from house to new garage HOW???

First you need to find out how many BTUs you are going to need in the garage so you know which size PE gas line to run. Next you need to either find a plumbing/heating contractor that installs it or call your gas company and have them install it. It's a specialized trade, not for DIY. Where...

    What is this?

It appears to be a specialty cornice brake. Cornice brakes used to be used for making "Ogee" gutters a long time ago, rarely used any more except for restorations. They were usually at least 8' long. The piece you have looks like a bender made for a certain radius part of a short length that...

just a reminder to be careful!

Sorry for your loss, but thank you for telling your story, you may have saved someone's life! My first welding project in shop class back in Jr. HS was to build my own set of heavy duty jack stands for my truck project at home. I cringe whenever I see someone under a vehicle that is held up by...
