How do you fit steel toe boots?

Do they naturally feel shorter than your normal size? Do you buy a size larger? I don't want them to feel too long on the outside, but the ones I've tried in my usual size seem a little too close to my toes. Thanks

Is there a good way to cut concrete filled metal tubing?

The column cutter sounds really good. I don't actually have dimensions in mind yet for the table. I don't even have room for a table at the moment. But, I figure that since I have access to the tubing, I might as well use it / hold on to it. It definitely can't hurt.

Thanks for the advice. They are 8" diameter.

Is there a good way to cut concrete filled metal tubing?

I have some large diameter tubing that would be great for table legs. They're filled with concrete, which, in a way, could be an advantage. They would definitely have to be cut for length. Is there a good, cost effective, etc. way to cut them? Will any problems come up when welding them...

Ram capacity of shop crane/engine hoist

Thanks. I guess I was wrong about the whole thing. When I read the sticker on the jack, I assumed it was for the jack rating, but it's actually for the crane itself.

Ram capacity of shop crane/engine hoist

Most of the typical shop cranes I've ever looked at have a ram rated at 3 or 4 times the capacity of the crane itself. For instance, 2 ton cranes come with 6 or 8 ton capacity rams. I was looking at a used 2 ton, "goodyear racing," branded crane the other day, which I've always heard good...

Bolster plate on an arbor press - Is it necessary?

What if you don't have the bolster plate(press plate/anvil) for an arbor press? Is it absolutely necessary? Is it also a stress reliever for the press? I understand that the four different sized holes in the plate would match up to different size parts that you're working on. It looks like it...

    bent breaker bar

I just came across this c24fc breaker bar and as you can see in the pictures it is bent. I need some opinions on the safety issues of using it. Does a bend like this truly weaken the tool to the point of being dangerous? Also, notice where the bend is in relation to the head. I could...

    TECH2FR100 with grey handle?

It's an auction, so I can't get my hands on it. I'd be happy whether it's a techwrench or techangle.

    TECH2FR100 with grey handle?

I'm looking at a techwrench to buy, but it has a grey handle. I thought the techwrench always came with a red handle and the techangle in grey. I've asked the seller and he still says it's a techwrench made in '06 and the included manual is definitely for a techwrench. So does anyone know if...
