I'm looking at a techwrench to buy, but it has a grey handle. I thought the techwrench always came with a red handle and the techangle in grey. I've asked the seller and he still says it's a techwrench made in '06 and the
included manual is definitely for a techwrench. So does anyone know if it could be a demo model or if the techwrenches ever come with a grey handle?

I think something is wrong. I've only seen the grey handles on Techangle series wrenches. Did you press the buttons to see if it displayed an angle? Maybe someone screwed up at the factory:headscrat

Why are the techangle wrenches cheaper than the techwrenches ??

From what I can gather, the techangle does everything the techwrench does plus has the added angle option. Hmm . . .

Do the Techangle wrenches account for the angle of the head when calculating the torque applied? i.e. taking the cosine of the angle of the handle as the lever arm?

The tools has a strain gauge just below the head to measure torque. Once the target torque is reached it can switch over to "angle" to measure the rotation. There's a gyroscope type device in the handle that measures the amount of rotation.

It will keep track of hte rotation even while ratcheting the wrench.
