    Reel problem need reel solution

Checking back in to say THANK YOU! Based on your post, I went to a hydraulic place (which I never would have though of) and they ordered what I need. Should be here tomorrow. This is exactly why forums exist. Thanks again.

    Reel problem need reel solution

Picked up a hose reel yesterday at the swap meet. Made by Aro, seems to be in pretty good shape. I'm going through it before installing it and need to find some washers and I don't know what they're called. Located on the hollow bolt that carries the water from the reel to the hose, and they go...

Finally have something to report- new shop!

Worked on more images- these not in any particular order: 4:52 AM September 2nd. I HATE to paint, and I'm not very good at it. Termite bagging Somewhere under that temporary platform is the hot tub. The termites made a feast of some of the structure. Temporary Garage Shortly...

Just wait- moving stuff in over the next week or so. I promise it will look a bit more "worked in".

The speakers were from Craigslist- AIM8 by Speakercraft, and fairly run-of-the-mill home theater speaker. Look for Speakercraft, Sonnance, Infinity has some, etc. Then buy a used subwoofer- makes all the difference- the ceiling speakers are merely OK fidelity-wise.

Here's the original image (after I spent some time in post) that I converted to monochrome: I also had to change the crop and clone out the background to get the helmet in the right spot to maximize the image size. Here's the final file, which was painted in gray.

Actually- funny you bring that up... I've been a commercial advertising photographer for 30 years, and he was 100% right to ask that question. In this case, I spent extra $ with the photographer for the license to use that image wherever I want. If anyone wants to do something lke this...

Here's an image of the painting procedure- if you look closely, you'll see it's actually a negative projected- the light areas get painted. You do have to have some brush technique- I did some work on it myself and my friend threw me out of the shop and redid it all. Looked much better when she...

Finally have something to report- new shop!

Don't mind getting it dirty- it's clutter that I don't want. But I have few storage opportunities, so will have to load it somehow. Already had coolant and oil spills. No big deal, clean right up.

Not at all- it's very much my "style". Yes, it's pretty much how I'd imagined. I was leaning towards porcelain tile for a floor, but the great deal on the right tile and installation did not present itself, and this might be a better alternative anyway. This is obviously a very small shop-...
