Should I start buying tools for my son?

I remember it was about the late 70's and I was around 12 my grandpa started giving me tools for my birthday and Christmas. He and his brothers owned a John Deere implement store. Every tool was John Deere. I don't know who made them but they were good tools. My son has them now.

I bought a second one when it went on sale to store all of my hardware and small parts. A lot cheaper than a Lista type cabinet.

    Rotary flip up arms

After reading these post I'm at least going to look harder at the Rotary's. My original question was about adapting the lift for things other than cars and trucks. I think if I have to I could build "shoes" that go around the end of the arms and drop a pin into the finger holes to secure them.

    Rotary flip up arms

Been in the market for a good used symmetric 9 or 10K two post lift. Some I have been looking at are from rotary with their flip up arms. I will be using this lift for everything from a lawnmower to a GMC 2500 HD. Would I be better off getting something with the other type with the socket and...

    Metabo megathread?

Question for a Metabo expert. We have some grinders that will not work with our portable welders and generators. I believe it is the soft starts. Anyone else have this problem?

    Question for Rotary SPOA9 Owners

Thanks for the reply. Co worker has a SPO10 that is symmetrical. I know his just reaches the spring hangers in the back.

Would you rather have. a 30x48 pole barn or two 24x30 stick built garages.

I built a 30X48 20 years ago. Had it divided up into three parts. This winter I took all of the divider walls out and so much happier. Not your situation now but just think into the future. One building gives you a lot of flexibility later on. It's also cheaper to go up than out. Loft space can...

    HF 44" Drawer Mod

Mine had been hanging on the pegboard in the bag. Noticed the other day it looks like mice chewed on the bottom of the bag. I have since moved it to my filing cabinet.

    HF 44" Drawer Mod

Just picked up 2 of the 44" bottom boxes and all was good till I tried to find a spot for my welding helmet. If the bottom right 6" drawer was 9" would be perfect. Looks like the 56" cabinet drawer that is 14" might work except for the depth. Any one replace this drawer?

    Question for Rotary SPOA9 Owners

They don't make the 9 any more. The SPAO10 is about $4k just delivered. I know its 20 years old but made in USA and can still get parts for it. My dilemma is the length of the truck and the arms of the lift. Looking for someone that has done it.If not I need to look at other options.
