HF 44" Drawer Mod

Just picked up 2 of the 44" bottom boxes and all was good till I tried to find a spot for my welding helmet. If the bottom right 6" drawer was 9" would be perfect. Looks like the 56" cabinet drawer that is 14" might work except for the depth. Any one replace this drawer?

Nice, simple and effective mod. The handle makes a nice attachment point to bolt-on or hang a specialized hook

+1. No sense in chunking the box because it won't hold a helmet.

Pretty sure the 44" is 18" deep, 56" is 22".

My fancy light reactive helmet lives in a helmet bag and comes out to charge before use then away. My regular flip downs and hand held ones live on the welder cart where they need to be used. Not an option for you?

Mine had been hanging on the pegboard in the bag. Noticed the other day it looks like mice chewed on the bottom of the bag. I have since moved it to my filing cabinet.

My Tigerhood lives on a hook on the box exterior. Way too bulky to take up drawer space IMHO
