After your feedback and further research, I'm convinced that the Miller 211 is worth the upgraded cost. The AutoSet is a huge selling point.
Local supplier has it listed at the same price as the online sellers (minus any free helmet or glove add-ons). Going to swing by and see what kind of...
Thanks for the feedback. I've been looking at the Miller 211 and Lincoln 210 MP, too. I'm just struggling with the cost vs benefit over the Hobart for my expected use cases.
I'm still back and forth on 'buy now, upgrade later' vs 'buy once and done' - for either the Hobart or going with the...
Finally hit the need for a welder. Primarily car work. I've done some welding back in college but will definitely need to practice again before I get going on projects.
Looking for some insight on welder options. Based on my research, I'm liking Hobart for the cost. I'm expecting minor...
My favorite part of the multitool is the crescent side to get paint off the roller when finished. You'd be amazed how much you can get back for that second coat or to save off for future touchups.
My Purdy has treated me well but I've far from overly used or abused it...

I picked up replacement leads on eBay and had good luck with the core unit itself.
Original leads have **** plastic that is too tight and breaks easily.

I had the same issue when I bought mine. Bent the arms that hold the gloves in a little more and now it's nice and tight.
Definite Pass item.

I've had one of their silver tarps in a large size for a while. I don't use it much but when I do it's beat on. Lots of time using it as a base for wood pills (I.e. Throw wood from a distance to land on the tarp).
It's held up so far so good.
The tarp is my wife's favorite 'Free' pickup. No...
Put a Jeep I-6 4.0 on the 2000lb stand during an engine swap.
It worked but it was DANGEROUS trying to turn it. Only spun the long block with head and no manifolds.
Bracket was way to lose in the tube in the stand. Friction meant a bear hug of the engine to turn it. NOT a one person job. I...
Yes, own a set and used them to remove a Jeep transmission. Worked fine. Not a high torque situation. Striped an inverse torx bolt before with a buddy so ensured this set was locked in before trying to remove. Worked fine and would recommend for typically use cases.

Never understood these type of lifts unless they lock in place.
Same caution for only using a jack on our car with jack stand(s) should apply to these. If the lift arm doesn't lock after lifting to desired height, don't buy. Otherwise, it's a widowmaker.
