UPDATE: the "locker" appears on the web site when you search for the part number or "locker", but is not in the "tool storage" section".

Really hope they have them in Black.

I see 2 (and sometimes 3) item numbers listed under each of the components in that ad page. Perhaps in this case, the reason for the different numbers is different colors?

sorry, hf does that a lot for the "same" product. when the sales droid looks it up on the computer, you only need to give them one of the numbers, and the answer they get includes all the others. speculation is that this is to differentiate between manufacturers, but i believe that all this storage stuff is made by one vendor, Torin. perhaps there are small differences between the numbers, and hf is trying to see if one version [holds up better|holds up the same but is cheaper| is noticeable by the customers|is shipped in different boxes to try and decide how cheap they can go on the packaging without eating too many damaged chests|...].

BOLTR: Harbor Freight Impact | MUCH BETTER QUALITY

"I love to hate the Hazard Fraud. It saddens me to say, they got the Earthquake stubby impact right. This is the thinnest 1/2" stubby at 3.9", it's got plenty of jam and it's nicely built."

TWINS REUNITE! Harbor Freight & HAZET | Taiwan M7 Tools

"$300 Hazet is a twin hammer, lower torque, version of the $100 jumbo hammer Earthquake stubby from the same factory. I betcha the internals are interchangeable.Guess who makes the MAC and Proto angle impact!"

Thanks, I was looking at that when my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday. Hit the print button and handed it to her. Been looking for a compact one to keep in the truck for my on board air.

If anyone has had both the HF stubby and Astro Nano I would like to hear their thoughts on how they compare.

I've dropped mine 14 feet and it's fine, and the rechargeable 18650 battery hasn't been an issue

I'm loving my Braun mini LED. Can't say exactly how long a charge lasts but I like mine so much I'm contemplating buying a second one with the idea of keeping one on the charger while the other is in continuous use. The battery life is good, but lately I have been on under dash missions for a whole day and it's just not going to make a 8 or 10 hour shift like that (nor do I expect it to). I might go ahead and get the larger one as well.

The braun slim LED is one of the better lights I have purchased for working on cars. Great magnet, and the best part, removable 18650. I would take it over that lowes light any day.

I had one of these and I don't think i'd recommend it. When you tighten the straps to any tightness that would actually retain the trans it would bend the side off the bearing that retains that side of the base. Hard to explain until you see it in person.

Ok, I have no experience with them. I think the T56 weighs 150 lbs max. There is also this jack that is not too much more expensive.

Yeah the tremec transmissions aren't very heavy. Truth be told I may have overtightened the straps when I did use that other trans but I just didn't like how that vertical face teh strap is welded to flexed. I like that second one much better IMO. You could just drop it onto your chest too as the T5/T56 are pretty light.

Does the smaller transmission jack ever go on sale?

I've never seen a coupon for one at Harbor Freight Coupon Database and one doesn't show when you do a search for 61232 in the expired coupons there.

I used a 25% off coupon when I bought mine. Jack worked well. Won't be used that often so I didn't want to deal with possible leaky seal on the more expensive one down the road.

25% off coupon is only good on two days, 3/31/18 and 4/1/18.

Thanks, Flylow! I like the price of the scissor jack style but I also think replacement will be much easier with the hydraulic 800 lb jack as it has adjusters for pitch and roll when aligning with dowel pins and the pilot bearing. It's going to be a real bear in my garage so anything to make it easier is worth spending the extra dime. Hopefully the 25% off works on the better ****** jack.

Don't mean to be a downer, or "coupon kill-joy" (I really don't know now)
but My guess is they would consider it a hydraulic jack, or slimier to a floor jack and say NO!
Hope they let you use it though!;)

The 20% off coupon works on the large transmission jack on the website. So it should work in the store, too.

Thanks. I have a coupon for $119.99 so I guess it's better to use that. I am sure I can find a way to use the other one on some tool cart accessory. Love the heavy duty red boxes.

Yes, but typically it was in the upper $300 range. I think it is still a good deal at the price they have now but the new one for $450 "coupon" is telling me they know the quality is good and don't have to price it low any more.

Yeah, I think the US General toolchests are the only product pages where I've seen HF dare to use Snap-On for their "compare to" example! Quoting praise from a car magazine at the top of the page, too.

They do other comparisons but yes, the toolchests are the only believable ones. I recently bought 2 end cabinets as well. 1 for drill press stand and another for my grinder and bench sander.
