    Closing on Monday!

Progress report... I got some of the interior walls demo'd out and cut a hole in the wall for a ten foot barn style door. Pulled some of the flooring up which was plywood over blue insulation over finished concrete. Finished open interior should be around 28' x 68' with a seperate "office" area...

    Closing on Monday!

All of the grating is there to cover the trench. I'll probably go with something smoother or even concrete. We all know creepers and floor jacks have heavy duty wheels but can't roll over a zip tie... Oh yeah, there's a house but that's minor..... Nice little ranch that's getting a full...

    Closing on Monday!

Pretty sure the PO already did that. It hasn't been a kennel for a long time and they put finished rooms inside. All that insulation was added after for the rooms.

    Closing on Monday!

Yes. It was built as a dog kennel. In the one pic you can see the block wall running the length of the building and on the end of the building there are some wood doors on the left side. there is 8' of covered storage on the back of the building. They took one block wall out of the inside and...

    Closing on Monday!

Moving out to the country to a few acres I'm closing on next Monday. The place has a 35' x 75' long building I am going to make my garage. In the pic it has block on the one end that extends into the building a little, inside there is a small "office" area and a room with water. The other end...

    Gravel parking lot muddy

Throw salt on a perfectly good gravel or stone drive and it'll turn into a mud hole. Salt draws the moisture up.

Just a thought, you didn't throw any salt on it this winter did you?

    Ductwork length and reduction

As a general rule, reduction in duct sizing occurs as you add grilles or registers on the trunk. So, if you have a 10" round duct and want a discharge 10' down the line, you reduce the duct sizing after that. I do not know the calculations, you could probably find something on the web. Say you...

    Show us your welding projects

It's not much of a project but I was glad to have the welder when the inspiration came. I had a customer, on a weekend evening of course, that had oil pressure drop on a 16 cyl. 9,400 CUID engine. They tore into it trying to figure out the cause, checked the main and rod bearings, all good, pump...

How "creative" have you been with epoxy?

I have done a few things over the years with epoxies I'm kinda proud of. How about you? Pro Poxy is my favorite for hillbilly engineering. When we bought my son a BB gun years ago I also got him a red dot scope not thinking there was no way to mount it. I roughed up the surface of the gun and...

Has anyone built a front end loader for a garden tracton using plans from P.F.Enginee

Once you own a loader and can use it to its potential (and then some once in a while...) you'll never want to get rid of it. You start looking for things to do with it which in turn, makes you popular with the better half and the neigbors.
