    Fiber glass in the walls, and the eco friendly stuff blown in on the ceiling. How much more power draw is there from a 4 ton unit compared to a 5 ton unit?

    My shop is 41x32, roughly 1,300sf and 14' tall ceiling. Its 2x6 construction, insulated with R19 in the walls and blown-in R38. I installed a 3ton unit and it will cool the shop to 80 degrees at night and the morning but can't hold temp as the day gets warmer. It will run constantly, 24 hours...

    Building is stucco, wrapped in black paper material. Dont use the heat much at durning the winter.. 14'x14' overhead door won't be open while AC/heat is being used.

    About ready to insulate my garage walls in Phoenix, AZ. Is faced insulation recommended? Garage will have heat and A/C. I can purchase unfaced for about $120 less from a vender.

    Looking to purchase the 3900 series as this is for the shop. I don't need car remotes or safety eye blames... but I am wondering about the security lock at the 8500 comes with. Without the lock how easy is the door to pull open by had with only the opener holding it closed? Same as a normal...

    Re: Need quiter compressor I have considered leaving my current compressor in my small garage, running 3/4 PEX 135 feet to the shop, remote on/off switch, remote air take in shop... Just a lot more a lot more tubing, wires, switches to run when I can buy a compressor and park it in the shop.
