    Interior motion lighting questions.

Ahhh never thought about that. Don't have a HD but do have a Lowes here that sells the same thing. Good thinking ;) I just racked my brain so much over thinking this I guess the obvious didn't hit me.

    Interior motion lighting questions.

I'm trying to figure out a way to have lights turn on inside the garage when my garage door is opened. I have the Liftmaster 3800 opener and it came with the "wireless light" that can be moved around but I don't like the looks of it. My ceiling has all can lighting and want to keep it clean. I...

3M Dinoc switch and plug covers

3M Di-Noc is great stuff. I use it quite often for customers. Very easy to work with and if you ever get a crease, just heat it back up and your good to go. 3M Di-Noc started as an architectual material and has slowly merged into the car scene. I've used it for laptops, car roof, table tops...

    ARC240's Garage Thread

Just some TLC and a lot of organization and you'll have more room in no time. Always a fan of Nissans :) Nice set of Volks too.

    Epoxy Floor Covering Method

Hey guys, decided I'm gonna epoxy the floor of my new garage as soon as I finish up the insulation/drywall. My garage is 30x28 (840 sq ft) and the guy who done the concrete sealed 1/4 of it to see if I liked it. Turns out, I HATE IT. I hate the look of it. Now my real questions. My concrete is...

    New Epoxy-Coat Contest

Thanks rugerlady for even having a contest. This creates positive atmosphere and is a great way for you and others to interact and turn garage building and flooring into something you can charish for a long time. Any one who does win this will certainly be lucky. I've submitted my story many...

My rights to keep my Garage

You lost me as well. You jump around so much in each paragraph it's hard to even understand why it's a problem. But what I understood was this realty is trying to pressure you into a demolition you are not comfortable with. $25k to demolish it? Have a guy come in with a bulldozer and flatten...

    Holmes on Homes

I find it hilarious that so many people are so hurt over one man and a tv show. It's almost as if their work has been shown on tv and has a personal vendetta against Mike Holmes. My wife and I watch his show all the time. I enjoy seeing him go out of his way to make a house "right". Yes he may...

    Logos on a VCT floor

I do graphics for a living and have printed several 4x6' logos for customers who intended on putting them on their garage floor. One guy cleared over his and the other I installed and used "frog juice" to seal the edges so they do not pick or peel up. Of course material is a large factor. For...

    New Epoxy-Coat Contest

My story isn't sad but has been a very long process of hard work. My wife and I were married in May of 2009 and bought our first house (Me - 24 Her - 28). It was a bank foreclosure in a great location. We knew going in the house needed a ton of work on the inside, we just didn't know how...

    Hit ByThunder's 24 X 24 Palace (to me)

Looking great Hit-by-thunder! Love the way you expanded on XcYZ's idea and took it a bit further with the rod support. I too am contemplating this idea. My ceilings are 10' 6" so I'm just thinking how big I want the soffit/storage to be. Does it feel like you have made the garage smaller by...

    Liftmaster 3800 or MJ5011E

I have the 3800 on a 16x9 door and opens and closes at least 2 times in the morning and 2-3 in the evening and not a single problem yet. Just like others have said, as long as the garage door is properly installed and sprung right, the garage door opening does very little to lift and close the door.

    Recessed lighting question

Leve, the lights in the first picture were CFL's and the lighting angle was too extreme and would just flood light out everywhere. The Sylvania Par30 NFL 25 degree have a much narrower cut off and spot to them. They are 50 watts each and setup on a dusk to dawn sensor. I am going to remove the...

    Garages at Night Thread

Mine is still being finished up. Still need to stone and side the 12x14 addition on the right side (you can barely see it). Landscaping and topsoil to follow this spring. Almost the end of the school year so my teaching schedule is a bit hectic.
