    Shawn's 32x32 two story Garage

I have a "Project box (or boxes)" but I like your idea better. Easy for all to see and kinda "artsy" too.

What did you do this weekend?

Drove just over 4 hours Friday to Jackson, MI for a antique fire truck swap meet that started at 7 a.m. Saturday morning (visited some antique shops Friday afternoon). Drove back home Saturday afternoon changed oil on both mowers, fire truck, and dune buggy. Bled brakes on dune buggy. Got my...

    Blue Point BB300B brake bleeder

A friend gave me a Blue Point BB300B brake bleeder and I need a manual and/or advice on it's use. The bleeder had belonged to his son who passed last year so I don't have a former user to ask, well short of a séance (and yes he was a smart-a** like me and would enjoy the comment). The Snap-on...

bet you've never sen a garage built like this

Forgot about the hurricane. Wife drove thru part of the ice storm because our SIL had just come back from Iraq (3rd tour) and she went down for the welcoming home ceremonies. I guess the drive across the Western KY Pkwy was really bad. Huge chunks of ice in the road, limbs down, power out, NO...

Wow, pallet racking is a great idea! I'll be watching for updates. I kinda like the ice shots too. Artsy:thumbup: Your area got nailed with icestorms twice this winter didn't it?

    Adding a Lean To

Yamaha If I remember my Ohio geography you are somewhere around Columbus which puts you in roughly the same area for snow load as me in Indiana. I don't know if you are a candidate for lake effect snow which is a whole different mess that I don't need to worry about. Anyway, my shop is 30' X...

    This place *****!

Axis11 great post and I feel your pain. Last night about 8:30 I was pretty much settled in for the night when suddenly... Gladiator cabinets for $29.50 :shocking:. I jumped in the car wandered the store for several minutes (it seems Lowes is cutting back on help in the store and nobody knew...

    Wire Stripper Advice

Since I know how to wire things and not release the magic smoke within I do lots of wiring/rewiring (automotive) for people. I use these Iriwn strippers and they work well. They were kinda hard to find, but worth it (to me). I have a set like the Mac shown above, but prefer the Irwin strippers.

Garage rear "service" door, for mower and stuff

Menards carries a plastc/fiberglas roll-up door. When I was building my storage shed I went to my local U-Store place (most of those have roll-up doors) and got the name of their supplier/installer. The supplier gave me a good price for a commercial grade door. I didn't end up using a roll-up...

    Farm Jack ( Hi-Lift )

xroad, Frank makes a valid point about learning to use the jack safely. Like many others here I use mine and would not be without it, but I respect the inherent instability and that damn handle that will knock you silly (or worse as noted above). I have used mine to raise the corner of a...
