That looks grea! If you do want to go smaller, drill the hole in oversized stock then cut it down concentric to the hole. You can safely get it as small as possible!

Use your carbon steel and line the back wall with thin aluminum. I converted a bench top HF cabinet to vapor and it has held up for years. I just leave the door open when it’s not in use. I can’t find the pictures and I’m away on a job.
