What has been the story with Craftsman anyways? Last I heard Stanley bought the Craftsman, but have they started making US tools again?

I have a few Proto goodies I bought I was curious about to see their quality. The one that impressed me the most is their 3/8 torque wrench. It came with an actual hand signed certification letter. I was like wow. I haven't seen a hand signed qa form in decades.
