I still had a gauge that showed -30 psi for four hours. As good as a micron gauge, nope. Good enough for me and better than most, yup.

Agreed pressure is better. I left my vacuum on it for an hour then closed off the valves and monitored the gauge for four hours. Didn’t move at all, good enough for me. Any significant leak should have shown itself by then. Most units are sold with the refrigerant contained in the compressor...

Yes, my condenser unit had the connection for the line set and had an alan screw to release the refrigerant as well as another connection for my gauge set and vacuum. As I am not an HVAC guy the whole thing is gibberish, but between YouTube and my manual it was pretty straightforward.

For my unit, the refrigerant is in the outdoor unit, so when the vacuum is pulled, it’s on the line set and the indoor unit. The outdoor unit until you open those valves to let the refrigerator out is self-contained.

Appreciate it! I work for a general contractor, my recommendation would be to find a subdivision that’s being built in and talk to the HVAC guys. They most often work for a company but hold the license themselves and don’t mind the side hustle cash. This goes for most of the trades tbh, hope...

    New Home Build

It’s impossible to get us somewhat decent picture but with eight, 8 foot LED lights in this 24 x 36 section it ended up being perfect. I went with the 6500k version and they are super white. I sometimes wish I would’ve got the 5000 K version for a little softer white but these don’t hurt my...

I still need to figure out the wiring on the factory motor to see if it even works. If the motor is shot, I will likely swap it out with a Baldor or Dayton. Or try to find the Delta motor that was mentioned above. I think keeping the conversion under $150 would be "affordable," but cheaper is...

Does anyone know the most affordable way to a VFD conversion?

Ronin, I think you are right with the mixed pedigree, or it is a rare combo, but most likely mixed. It does have a small square cutout that I can see above the collar holding the head up. After thinking about it, it would be strange to have an adjustable table and head. The only pics I could...

Haha no I’m just messing as well. Love finding great deals, feel bad for the sellers sometimes though.

Anyone know what this handle does on the side of the head? I don’t have this on my 15”. It spins with just a little resistance. They tossed in a handful of drill bits and a crank that was laying next to it. Going to see if this good one can replace this broken one for the table adjustment...
