Wondering what this toolis called and what it does.....

I've posted on the HAMB but so far nothing definitive. Here are some pics, the best I have currently. The only marking is on tha back of the handle it’s simply 100. Head pivots freely and the slot is about 1/4” wide. Thanks...

    Lighting Question

Well I would like to do the LED thing but no matter the reduced price free is free!

    Lighting Question

That's basically the plan as before with the T12's but wanted to get any other ideas. For a 28' run I'll decide on three or four fixtures. I picked up ten free today and I suppose I could get a couple of extra later. I'll probably reserve two for the storage side of the shop but could use...

    Lighting Question

Both responses are what I'm considering. T5's I presume need a different ballast?

    My Compressor Aftercooler Install

Is the original poster's cooler rated for the high pressure of a compressor? I have a 7.5 DeVilbass unit and I think this would be a "cool" to add to it.

    Lighting Question

I have a 28x30 shop with the main work area 28x20. I'm upgrading from T12 to T8 fluorescent lights. I plan on either 6 or 8 fixtures. Will the T8's come on better in colder temps? Should I run the fixtures length wise or side to side for the best coverage? The fixtures are three years old...

    Placement of a Infrared Heater

The main work area is 19' X 28' and painting will be priming only. Ceiling height is 10'. I think I will mount it at the near end width wise like you did. The unit is a Roberts Gordon Caribe with 40,000 btu. Only partial wall insulation and none in the open trusses. I also have a Roberts...

    Placement of a Infrared Heater

I have a Roberts Gordon infrared that was brand new and given to me. My shop is approx.28 X30 thought I mainly work in a 28. X 18 area. What would you guys suggest for placement of the heater; in the centre width wise so the heat can radiate out evenly or width wise at one end of the shop at a...

Propane Tanks as Air Reserve Tanks or Make another Compressor

Looking at them this morning I think I only have to weld on some legs/feet. Perhaps one bung for a drain on the larger tank. Fittings, line, valves have been remove quite some time ago. I plan on using plugs for the holes that I won't be using. Yeah, that mercaptan oil, I had forgotten the...

Propane Tanks as Air Reserve Tanks or Make another Compressor

So you say "flare" off any remaining gas? By the way all, I have to check if these were propane or LNG tanks. Only paid $20 for the pair.

Propane Tanks as Air Reserve Tanks or Make another Compressor

Can you explain why? If propane is heavier than air and I invert the tank shouldn't any traces eventually bottom out the existing open holes? It is propably just the warning additive I would like to get rid of.

To Insulate or Not to Insulate

That is what I figured s is my first time install radiant heating so I was wondering if much was needed. I understand the reflected heat off objects would be good to trap. Thanks.

Propane Tanks as Air Reserve Tanks or Make another Compressor

I picked up a 42 and 80 gallon used propane tanks off a couple of trucks today. THe smaller looked brand new. I thought I would use them as extra air tanks for my air compressor or attach spare compressors and motors to run them. My question is how would I purge any vapours before welding on...
