Hello all. I picked this up today at an auction. I was hoping someone could help shed some light on what I have. It has a 6 in stone and wire wheel, 1/4hp beld drive motor and all I can make out is "General" and "Milwaukee" . I didn't buy it to fix up and resell, more like I had never seen one...

Well it's a sad day for me. I returned to get it today and it had already been sold. I was really excited to own such a big vise too. Oh well, I'll just have to be on the lookout for one now because after seeing a vise that size,I NEED, not want, one lol. Thanks for the help va.grouseman.

Yes it looked to be about like that. It hasn't been painted in a very long time though. It looked like it has been inside a barn/shop unused for quite some time. Everything was free and not stuck on it. I see what the asking price on that one is, but I'm curious as to what they are actually...

If you do decide to go the sodium hydroxide route, please do a little research on it if you have never worked with it. It needs to be added slowly to cold water, Never add water to it. I have removed some paint from things with it, so i know it will work if mixed strong enough. Just be careful...
