    Garage Stove pipe installation

Appreciate the response. Yup I've seen that solution, which would work great....It's more that I don't really want to replace what I've already installed if it is perfectly fine.... Boxing it in with plywood seems to meet the requirements per the instructions from Selkirk. I'm just being...

    Garage Stove pipe installation

Also from their website: https://www.northlineexpress.com/media/pdf/5se-6t-ais%20installation.pdf Appears to indicate boxing in the chimney pipe is an OK alternative to the insulation shield, though it mostly reserves that type of installation for when there is not enough room to easily...

    Garage Stove pipe installation

The brand I am using is Selkirk brand, bought from Northline express. Here is the video from their website talking about boxing in the chimney pipe in the attic space:

    Garage Stove pipe installation

Guys, I think I have this all figured correctly but since I am installing a wood stove in my garage for heat, the OCD in me needs to triple check my installation. For those of you with a wood stove, maybe you can help put my mind at ease. My question is about the attic insulation shield for...

    cadet heater cbc103tw

Upon further "googling", I think what the manufacturer wants is for this heater to be on a dedicated circuit with a gfci protected circuit breaker at the panel.

    cadet heater cbc103tw

Curious if anyone is familiar with installing a cadet heater in the bathroom. I've installed others in bedrooms and have always put them on a dedicated 240v circuit. But this particular one, made for bathrooms, the installation instructions are a bit confusing, at least to me. They state: -...

    Minisplit drain line size

Thanks for the response. I thought I was being slick by putting a 1 ft. Piece of 1" PVC (to accept the drain like you did) and then coupled a reducer down to 1/2" for the remaining 25 ft.

    Minisplit drain line size

I know, I know...the drain line is supposed to be 3/4" and like an idiot I installed 1/2" pvc. But, hear me out: as a newb to this I simply measured the inside diameter of the drain line that came with the unit, which is 5/8". Because it is a flexible tube and I ran the drain through the crawl...

Mr Cool ductless minisplit experiences **now that you've had it for a few years**

After running the drain with 1/2" I'd read that 3/4" was preferred:eek: BUT, I ran 1/2" because the interior dimension of the pvc was about the same as the flexible drain tube that came with the unit. I ended up throwing that away and using pvc so that I could easily and properly slope the...

The link you provided gave me a "the page you requested cannot be found" message. Can you describe what you've been using? Thanks in advance

Anybody use drain pan tabs to keep mold and gunk at bay?

Mr Cool ductless minisplit experiences **now that you've had it for a few years**

You know, I kinda wondered about the possibility of that happening too. Most of the time the drain line simply terminates outside, a perfect little 1/2" opening for some critter to get into. I'm going to look into some kind of a screen attachment, since I ran mine in 1/2" pvc. Thanks for the...
