I'm curious how this project turned out.
I've got exposed aggregate floor in my garage and thinking of grinding it using something like an EDCO single disc floor grinder, which I can rent. But I'm concerned about how long it will take, how many tool heads (and which grit size), and whether the...
Oh, and do you think the spoke wrench is hand fabricated? I haven't seen anything online that looks just like it. and it doesn't have any factory markings or so that I can see (just his initials).
Interesting. I never knew him to have or have had a motorcycle, but who knows? Or perhaps there was a bike at the plant that he used or had a occasion to service?
Thanks!
Hey, folks.
There are still some items pictured at the link above.
Also, here are some hand-crafted items. Some are just punches and others may be little jigs or something, but I really have no idea what most were specifically used for. I'd love any insights from folks out there...
Thanks! I remember now looking up the fastener tool -- I guess they used the DZUS on aircraft. I know that he spent a lot of time with T-33s and F-94s.

So I've inventoried everything I've got and...
Here are several photos, left side, right side, back, front panel outside and inside, custom drawer. Looks like the original green on the inside. Also looks like he made the stencil but never painted is name on it. Didn't know this was hiding back inside there!
Yes, I'm sure that's the case. There's the original grab hole (I assume that's what it is), at the bottom of the panel.
And the outside mounting of the hinges and the fact that the latching mechanism is attached by screws and not rivets also indicate non-factory installation, I would think...
Inherited a rollaway that looks like a Pressteel, but does not have the manufacturer's name embossed on the front of the drawer. Also, the unit has been customized.
Here's the story: my grandfather was hired by a machinist at Lockheed in 1940. First worked in Burbank and then in the 50s in...
