    EZ up/Pop Up/Canopy Tent recommendations

I'm now a big fan of ABCCanopy. I've tried a few of the cheaper ones but they just can't handle much wind or relentless sun.

What is more versatile for a noob, a (hammer) drill or an impact driver?

Its funny how this question gets answered. Personally I've owned many corded drills before there was such a thing as a battery powered anything tools. Then the battery powered tools came along and changed everything. Now I own cordless drills, hammer drills, and impact tools both hex and socket...

    Posted signs

In rural California to charge criminal trespassing you would need either a fence or signs every 300'. I found that adding signs to our non-fenced land did reduce cars and trucks driving on the property. Now they turn around in the street. lol. I doubt it would stop criminals except for the...

    battery powered lawnmowers

We just bought an eGo 21" self-propelled. So far it has been great. The 56V battery provide plenty of power for cutting and pushing the mower around. Height adjustments are easy. We are happy with the purchase. Ace was selling for 20% off which helped.

Finishing rooms in a metal garage

My advise is don't do it. That building is going to be a nightmare to finish the inside. You will need to build a building inside that shell. Its cheap for a reason. Having dealt with finishing a metal building, not the same style as that one, I would do a stick building. Much, much easier to...

Access to this elevated storage area

What about floor to ceiling "cabinet doors"? When you open them a ladder, or fold out stairs are built into the wall below the storage floor. When closed it looks like a large cabinet. You could put in a push type opener if handles aren't aesthetically pleasing.

Outlet Box Options in C-Channel Workbench Leg

Can't you just use the two holes you already have and screw the box to the C channel with those? The box would be flush to the inside.

Questions about buying land & building a garage.

It depends on your city or county codes. If you are within city limits then likely residential zoning will have strict requirements. If you are in a county jurisdiction then things change. Where I live county regs will allow pretty much anything. No significant restrictions. The only really...

Headlamp wall charger bit the dust?

I second the upgrade of Chinese cells to Japanese or Korean. We've done this on all of our headlamps. If you really want to keep that headlamp I suggest buying an 18650 charger.

Advice on replacing dead NiCd batteries in old cordless screwdriver

Not if you get the good ones from Japan. I use standard usb chargers on mine without any issues. Dozens of cycles if not hundreds. If you are really paranoid there are fire enclosures to put them in for charging.
