Mixing 20a breaker with 14/2...just musing.

Just to fill in the last couple -- Yeah I've come to the conclusion AF is somewhere I really don't need to go, properly configured GF is sufficient. And to clarify my wording for the mikey takers out there ;-) -- Correct, heavy-up would be an amp upgrade to the electrical service. "Pecker to...

Mixing 20a breaker with 14/2...just musing.

Again, thanks for the great replies! Now I've got to switch out this white collar and keyboard for the comfort zone of blue collar and tool belt. ;-)

Mixing 20a breaker with 14/2...just musing.

If I may impose again -- I do see now where it's just the circuit and not the outlets that are to be 20a. This leads me to ask for just a bit more clarification as to remodel requirements. Since I'm performing this work (and it may be the same if contracted) what is consensus as to...

Mixing 20a breaker with 14/2...just musing.

Much appreciate the replies. Provides some food-for-thought if I decide to modify my plans. What I did just now is reconfirm I will never be adept at mudding! I've done quite a bit over the years and, for me, it's not like riding a bike. I sure do lose proficiency. Seems it only comes back to...

Mixing 20a breaker with 14/2...just musing.

Had a heavy-up (pecker to box) completed on this home about 12 years ago. I'm prepping to sell and this entails a few upgrades/refreshes to the home, one of which is the kitchen. In investigation I see the countertop outlets circuit (two original outlets) are 15a receptacles while the breaker is...

    Walbro small engine carb interchange?

Thanks again for the replies! Now that my eyes were opened to me overlooking the Walbro website interchange info a decision was made to acquire all the parts-n-pieces to simply major(?) o-haul the carbs. This offers the advantage of hopefully not only better quality parts but also rebuild stock...

    Walbro small engine carb interchange?

Thanks for the insight! Can't believe I didn't think to check the Walbro site. Funny thing is it answered one of my expectations -- All three of these carbs take the same exact rebuild kits. This eases all my options. Appreciate the reply! True, I've heard nothing but good results...

    Walbro small engine carb interchange?

I have three Homelite trimmers that I want to get working properly. My daily driver runs well for a few years after I either disassemble and clean the carb or repair fuel lines. The other two were given to me and don't run at all, again, fuel (carb) issues. Both have dry and hardened pump and...

    PPG Break-Through! brush application?

Appreciate the first-hand report. Your results look really good...as they very well can. I had to lose my lackadaisical homeowner mindset when it came to application. Even though I developed a very workable thinning ratio for brush application it still requires applying with a time-is-money...

Another failed legacy Craftsman torque wrench

While my Snap-On 1/4" is 1990 vintage and due for its first calibration you're making me wonder how in spec all those valve bodies (and trans assemblies in general) were when they left the dealership.

Another failed legacy Craftsman torque wrench

Some days are good...and this is one. Had someone offer me a trashed wrench of the same model. It must have been in a bad environment for some time as the handle was rotted and and the remainder, including the ratchet head, was quite rusty. Upon disassembly I was happy to see the internals...

Another failed legacy Craftsman torque wrench

That is a good one. Funnier still is the modicum of viability in that. Since a linear runout could/would be a calibration issue but mine very likely could not be calibrated to proper working order would indicate a tool parts failure. I am simply musing here as the wrench is happily committed to...

Another failed legacy Craftsman torque wrench

Appreciate the reply and lived insight. Yeah, I doubt there's any double rate reversing spring-ability happening with it. I do note that in 4xdog's post above his attachment on line 4 states there is some super secret special sauce lubricant used from the factory. Doubt that would be the factor...

Another failed legacy Craftsman torque wrench

Appreciate the reply. Absolutely, always stored with tension released. My Snap-On 1/4" (5 years younger than the Craftsman) stored in same manner still calibrates nearly spot-on in the in/lb range.
