I have the Chamberlain RJO20. It has all the bells and whistles except the battery backup. It has worked great. I have never seen it open except when I told it to. I like it a lot and will agree with the above posters that it is a bit slower but it is so much quieter than the overhead units...
Sorry, should have been more clear. The cabinets will be faced with plywood probably. But I have my eye on get an old craftsman table saw also. That will probably be next. :)
i am looking to purchase a miter saw. I don't do a lot of wood work but I am planning to build some cabinets for storage in the garage, found some great ideas on here. I am also looking to build a storage shed and privacy fence in the spring.
I am seeing a lot of miter saws on...
Thanks for the recommendation. I had them come out, he set me up with 32" radius track and new springs and installed them cheaper than parts from the other people I contacted. Also, he was done in less than 2 hours.
Anybody in the south KC area I would recommend 'Dutch Boy Garage Doors'.
Paola, work in Olathe. I have a Deldren DC-138 16x7 door, 1 3/8" thick. I haven't found the weight of the door yet.
The length of 20 coils of the current springs comes out to 4 7/8, based on online information this should come out to .243. Disengaging the opener and lifting the door I can see...

With the 32" radius you don't need high lift drums? Just new springs if they are needed? Do you know of a place in KC area that will sale the 32" radius track? I am in the process of getting quotes or doing it myself currently. Can't locate the track pieces. I am in the extended KC metro...
I have this same question. I see you also had the springs/reels replaced. Was this due to more wire being needed to since you were lifting the doors higher? Thanks for the info in advance.
Hawkerxj - that isn't bad. Very similar design as the link JRC3 provided. I think I might take the easy way and go with his link, simple, cheap and will be quick to mark off the list and move onto the next thing.
Thanks guys.
Has anyone made a nice TV accessories shelf? Want to share some pictures of them?
I am going to mount my TV on the wall at my new place but still need a shelf to hold the cable box and maybe the sound bar. Curious what creations you guys have come up with. I am thinking of making something...
Yeah, that was my guess. I have heard there are some new kind of sleeve method (basically put the post in a bag so it doesn't touch concrete or soil) also and was curious if that was what I was seeing.
Looks good. I am just over in Paola. I have heard good things about QSI. Looks like your post are an engineered style. To me the pictures make it look like only the lower section of the posts are treated. Is that how they are made or am I just seeing things? Any chance you would mind sharing a...
It has been awhile since you posted but curious about a couple of things.
It looks like there is some kind of plastic between your framing and the outside metal. Is this a vapor barrier?
Other questions, it has been only a few years since your shop was built. Have you noticed any issues with...
