I made the forearm during the course of 2 evenings after work. Like everything else I do in life I do not snap enough photos. Instead of doing a small splinter forend, I carved it into a semi beavertail forend.

Freshened up the metal work with some Brownells oxpho blue. Not completely assembled yet but it should look good for an 80 year old double.

Once you get the iron to fit the wood, cut the bbl troughs to a depth where it snaps on the barrels.

Looking at the forearm I just could not leave it like this. It looked like it was left too close to the wood stove or maybe chewed on by a pointer dog.

As you can see, they give you quite a hunk of wood to work with.

Spent the cold months restocking an old double barrel. This was a semi inletted stock. There was a fair amount of work to get it to this point. I should have taken more before pics. These pics were taken after I got the receiver fitting the stock.

Yes all is good. From time to time we get lost in other things. Winter is a tough time in Michigan. Not much happening outside unless it has to do with hunting. Which I do my share of. Now that the weather is starting to turn we should be able to get back to some restoration.
