    Loft / Mezzanine flooring

That is a good solution, I will need some blocking between joists anyway.

Do they frequently have 3 phase power out in rural areas?

Low voltage phony 3 phase with a wild leg is available at my pole (would need second transformer installed) but for me it isn't worth it. At my farm we have 480V 3 phase for our 60hp irrigation pump. All farm areas around here have 3 phase for irrigation.

    Nut and bolt assortments?

That must be why I keep 7/16 cause I can't afford any new AG equipment.

    Loft / Mezzanine flooring

I am building a 40x60x16 pole barn and plan to add a 12x40 loft. I had planed to floor it with 3/4 T&G OSB subflooring. With how much lumber has gone up recently I'm looking for ways to cut costs. I have the opportunity to get 3/4 plain plywood for about $20 a sheet less that OSB but it won't be...

    40x60x16 pole barn

That is typical in Oregon at least truss on each side of the post except gable ends are single. Our standard post spacing is 12 foot, I have noticed other areas use closer spacing and set trusses on "top band". Seems like you would use a lot more lumber but could probably get away with less...

    40x60x16 pole barn

That is the common way to do it in my area. I built 1 bay at a time trusses and purlins on the ground then used an I beam spreader and lifted the whole thing with a telehandler sliding up the posts. Then I only have to put purlins up for every other bay in the air. I helped with another building...

Yes I bought the package from Pole Building Supply in Redmond, OR. U can imagine you could have rock issues in Tumalo.

Prevailing wind and metal roofing question

I am also building a 40x60x16 in Oregon right now. My engineering specified to face laps away from prevailing winds. I'm in Central OR but spent a couple years in Pendleton and it can really blow up there. You could put additional screws in top of the overlapping rib. My plans specified these...

    40x60x16 pole barn

Thought I would share a few pics of my new building. It is 40x60x16 pole barn will have a 16x14 door and a 10x12 door. Planning an office in one corner and a 12x40 storage loft. Will have waste oil heat and wood stove for supplemental. I am all the work myself so its a slow go. Working on wall...

How does this pole barn price sound?

Seems very fair to me. I am putting up a 40x60x16 right now my kit (lumber, metal, doors, trusses, and engineered plans) was 34K. I am putting it up myself but would assume labor would be another 30K plus here in Oregon.

    Cable sizing

Hay field. That's not really a big pump as far as irrigation pumps go I have a 60HP pump at the main farm. It is 480 3 phase though.

    Cable sizing

I agree I will likely never use that much 1 man shop I think I am more worried about voltage drop than amps. beyond lighting and general plugs I have 5hp air compressor 2 post lift and 5 welders. Although none of those should be running at the same time. I will likely move the feed for up to...
