And here's my homemade extension rack for the cart lid, we had a bunch of leftover hardwood flooring pieces that make great tool holders. Made for a great magnetic bit organizer too - thank goodness for friends with CNC routers!

What I really like about the Alien racks is how flexible they are rather than having fixed spacing. With large and mid-size wrenches I can space them just right so they angle back to read the sizes, and I can stack the little ones close to each other so they're more compact and stable.

I wonder if you've tried the Vessel Wood Compo version? I don't mind the megadoras but don't love them either, however the wood non-slip have become my favorite in the shop. They have a much better feel and heft plus the perfect Vessel fit.
