Bought this Craftsman for $5 at a barn sale. It was intact and usable though tight. How would you try to straighten this slide? Press? Hammer? Forge? Would like some input before I use force.
Inherited this old bench grinder with a Craftsman motor and grinder head. Want to clean this up and repaint it but would really like to preserve the Craftsman label if possible (red arrow). Anyone have one of these?

Got my hands on an old military style cabinet owned by a handiman. Cleaning it out and found several things I can't ID. Any help?
A - these are aluminum
B - Heavy iron and the sides are painted white
C - ?
D - Light wood, I have 4 of them.
Tinning the phillips grooves might work if I can direct the heat. For that matter I might be able to hit it quickly with the mig welder and then file it down....or I could end up blowing a hole in it. This is a harsh learning curve. I might have to practice on some scraps first.

The outline of an added washer shows even if I grind down the screw head really flush.
I looked on McMaster: doesn't look like they have a hollow rivet small enough. And the same with the carriage bolt. I do have small chicago screws on hand as I've used them...
