    New garage...er...home is finally complete.

Bummer on the Premier Floor! Mine has only been in for 6 months, but I can't see any signs at all of any issues, even in the 8" part in front of the door between the jams that is exposed to sunlight everyday. But my floor prep was pretty intense. My concrete monkeys royally muffed the...

    New garage...er...home is finally complete.

The snow melt issue was the primary reason for the drains, I love them. The garage isn't heated, but I have R20 insulation in the ceiling and R13 in the walls as well as insulated roll-up doors. Heat loss from the house (2 adjacent walls) keeps the temperature in the garage at least 30 degrees...

    Harsh door opener actuation

I hear you on putzing with the down limit adjustment, but it's the worst when the door is up on the overhead tracks where it's not loaded with any forces. Dang!

    Harsh door opener actuation

We have LiftMaster Professional 3575 openers on two of our garage doors. They open and close the doors really fast, which is kinda fun. The problem is, the power and speed comes on all at once, which really slams the door and opener. It sounds like someone is hitting the door with a sledge...

The "Bunker" garage is almost complete!

When we were building our project, a sissy real estate agent poo-poo'ed the detached garage saying we would never get out of it what we put into it. Maybe not on a spreadsheet, but who cares? Every time I pull up and see it, or go in it, I get my money's worth. You will too

The mountains look like southern Utah County(?) My community's code would only let me build 1000sf, so I went 22x45 (990). OK, here's a rude, invasive question after having just built in our still booming Utah market... How much is this project going to cost? Your answer might make me feel...

What goo to seal ABS pipe into concrete drain box?

Hello, I have floor drains in the garage I showed in this thread http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10669&highlight=gibbons After living in the house for a few months, I noticed that the crumby plumber didn't seal off the pipe into the drain box, he just beat a hole through...

    New garage...er...home is finally complete.

The concrete foundation (coated) goes up to that baseboard where the sheetrock starts. Premier drilled and lagged the foundation on the lower part, and used lots of screws into the wall studs in the framed part of the wall. Sure, you could make a beefier cabinet out of welded steel plate, but...

bluesman2a- I see where your installer guy is coming from, infrared sensors can trigger with temperature changes like if a cloud blows over the sun or with wide day to night temperature swings. However, there are newer high tech sensors that use both IR and microwave in the same unit It takes...

    New garage...er...home is finally complete.

I've been quietly hanging around here during our build project, what a warped site! I love it! Anyway, we are complete and moved in now. Here are some pics of the results. The house is about 1900sf main floor, we have about 1850sf total of garage space. That sounds about right :) - I had...

    Premier Garage Combo Deals

A long time ago I think I read about (maybe dreamed about) combo deals with Premier Garage if you do your floor and cabinets with them at the same time. I have a bid for doing both, but I sure don't see a discount line item. Do they ever have home show special pricing or stuff like that? How...
